8188MEM Hydrophobic Membrane Screen

The Hydrophobic Membrane Screen is for the 8188, 8189, & 8198 ceiling speakers. The membrane allows placement of the speaker in areas subject to moisture (e.g. shower). It does not permit use of the speaker outdoors.

About the 8188MEM The 8188MEM is a protective shield for indoor Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speakers and 8189 SIP Surface Mount Speakers that allows for extra protection in areas that may be exposed to moisture* (e.g. bathrooms, locker rooms, and hospitals). The 8188MEM prevents electrical damage from water that may pass through the speaker in environments mentioned above. When using the 8188MEM both the Algo 8188 and 8189 will maintain their high quality sound. However, the sound from the microphone may be affected. *Note: The 8188MEM is not intended for use to protect the speaker from direct spray
